Gillian, a seventh grader, competed in an Irish dance competition in Baltimore on September 18 as an under 12 preliminary champion. There were 27 in her competition and she won first. She has also competed since then, winning two fourths and one second place. She will soon be competing in Williamsburg and Washington DC as well. She is preparing for the southern region Oireachtas (Irish word for Championships) i n Baltimore hoping to qualify for worlds in Dublin, Ireland over Easter break and nationals in New Orleans around the Fourth of July!
